How Do I Get a Card?

Simply bring one piece of identification with your name and current address to the library, and we’ll provide you with a card.

Alternatively, you can apply for a card online Here.

Cards for Kids

Children of any age can get a library card. Children 16 years of age and under must have a parent or legal guardian sign the membership form. By signing the card you agree to return all items borrowed, pay for overdue materials, and pay replacement and processing costs for lost or damaged materials.

View Your Account

You can view your account from any Internet-enabled computer through the ANPL catalogue. Just click on My Account on the upper right hand side of the page.

Lost Cards

If your card is lost or stolen, please report it immediately. The replacement cost of a library card is $3.00. Identification with name and current address is required to obtain a replacement card.

Borrowing

Information about loan periods and overdue fines.

All books, magazines, and audiobooks may be borrowed for 3 weeks. DVDs, puzzles and board games  may be borrowed for 1 week. Reference materials may NOT leave the library.

There is no general limit on the number of items which may be borrowed. The Library may from time to time impose limits when there is a heavy demand for seasonal material or for categories in which there are limited holdings. If you have fines over $20.00 total, your borrowing privileges will be suspended until the fines are paid.

Borrowed materials may be renewed over the telephone, e-mail, or by your account online through our catalogue. If a reserve has been placed on any of the materials, renewals are not allowed. For more information, please contact the Library at (705) 639-2228.

Each borrower is responsible for all materials loaned on her/his card and will be billed for loss or damage. Parents/guardians are responsible for material selected and borrowed by their children.

The Library reserves the right to suspend borrowing privileges.
